Arsene Wenger has confirmed the formation he would like to use in the upcoming campaign.
The Arsenal manager witnessed his side begin last season in dominant form before a mid-season collapse saw them drop out of the top four of the Premier League.
Even so, the Gunners managed to finish the campaign on an encouraging note, winning all of their last five league games before the 2-1 triumph over Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
That improved form came after Wenger opted to change his formation to three defenders at the back.
And according to the Arsenal manager, he will continue from where he left off with that system last term.
“We’ll test many systems. At the moment, in pre-season, we are in the continuity of the end of last season,” the Arsenal manager said
“In some games, we will play with four at the back and some with three, but at the start of the season we will certainly play with three.”
