Arsene Wenger has confirmed that one of his key attacking options will be out of action for a couple of weeks due to injury.
The Arsenal manager has witnessed his side respond to the humiliation at Liverpool by winning three of their last four games in all competitions.
And Danny Welbeck, who scored a brace in the 3-0 victory over Bournemouth two weeks ago, has played a vital role in the Gunners’ resurgence.
However, a groin injury which the striker suffered during last Sunday’s draw at Chelsea has sent him back to the sidelines.
And ahead of the clash with West Bromwich Albion, Wenger has confirmed that Welbeck will not feature on Monday night and he will remain out for a few more weeks.
“Danny Welbeck has a groin injury. He will be back, his target is Watford.” the Arsenal manager said
“That means after the international break. He won’t be available for England and not for us before the break.”
