Arsene Wenger has confirmed there is a new injury blow for his side following the draw away at Southampton on Sunday.

The Arsenal manager watched his side thrash BATE Borisov 6-0 on Thursday night in response to the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.

However, their struggles in the Premier League continued on Sunday as Southampton almost inflicted another defeat on them had it not been for a late equalizer from substitute Olivier Giroud.

And to make matters worse, Wenger has confirmed that key midfielder Aaron Ramsey has succumbed to a new hamstring injury.

“Aaron Ramsey couldn’t play at the end. He had a hamstring problem.” the Arsenal manager said after the game on Sunday.

The Welshman’s career at the Emirates stadium has been troubled by persistent injuries but he has enjoyed a relatively regular role in the Arsenal team this season, alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield.
