Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will sanction a deal which will see him ditch another member of the first team squad ahead of the new season.
The Arsenal manager has so far allowed the departures of Kaylen Hinds, Chris Willock, Yaya Sanogo and Wojciech Szczesny this summer.
And with Lucas Perez still yearning for a move away from the Emirates stadium, there could be at least one more name added to the list of first team exits.
The 28-year-old’s agent recently stated that his client was keen on a return to former club Deprotivo La Coruna after an underwhelming debut season at Arsenal.
And speaking on the future of Perez, who joined Arsenal in a £17.1 million deal last summer, Wenger admitted a transfer move for the forward will be given the green light.
“Yes because we have a congestion of strikers. I don’t like to lose him because, for me, he’s a top-quality striker but we have many strikers.” the Arsenal boss said
“At some stage, too much competition is not competition anymore. You cannot give the chance to everybody, so if he finds a satisfying solution at least for a short time, he will do it.”
