Diaby injury mystery remains
Arsene Wenger is unsure whether Abou Diaby will remain on the sidelines for a few more weeks or months.
The midfielder suffered more than just bruises to his leg after a strong tackle from Bolton’s Paul Robinson saw off his brief substitute appearance on Saturday.
Diaby, however, did manage to stay on his feet and walk towards the dug-out but Wenger revealed after the game that the former Auxerre man was in a worrying condition.
And prior to the clash with SC Braga, the Arsenal boss ruled out the 24-year-old for Arsenal’s next couple of games at least, but even after Wednesday night, Wenger was still uncertain over how long Diaby will take to recover from what was a serious injury.
“We have to wait to see how he responds to that shock. There’s a bruise and some ligaments [damage]. We don’t know when he’ll play again at the moment.”

Robinson is nothing more than a thug. Glad to see Diaby try to hit him afterwards though- he does have passion.
I hate the term ‘strong tackle’.
‘Malicious assault’ is a far more apt description.
as long as wilshere and song stay fit, no great loss. wilshere (already) has more of a football brain than diaby.
if chamakh plays like he has started the season- and stays fit – van the injury prone man will struggle to get his place back and nic bend will be on the subs bench most of the time.
Glad to see the latest Diaby will be fit fot WBA. I always believed he was cummer!!! Also enjoy Song now remember when he was loaned to Charlton and came back as the”worst signing Wenger had made.”…….time and developement often make fools out of all of us!!!!!
