Arsene Wenger has given an update on the fitness of Theo Walcott and other players with injury concerns ahead of another busy week of fixtures.
The Gunners have had plenty to cheer about so far this season following a superb run of form which has seen them climb all the way up to joint-top on the Premier League table despite a disappointing opening day defeat to Liverpool.
One of the reasons why Arsenal are firing on all cylinders is the form of Theo Walcott who has racked up an impressive tally of eight goals.
However, the England international’s old problem of being plagued by injuries has threatened to return following a hamstring injury he picked up a few days ago.
According to Wenger, Walcott – along with Nacho Monreal and Santi Cazorla – may not be able to feature against Sunderland but the 27-year-old is likely to be fit again before the trip to Ludogorets.
“We have a few uncertainties over Walcott, Monreal and Cazorla, but they will all have tests today.” Wenger said on Friday
“No, he is not ill. There is a slight hamstring alert, a very minor one. He will have a test today. He should be OK for Tuesday. If it’s not tomorrow, it’s OK for Tuesday.”
