Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is ready to name a strong starting line-up for the FA Cup clash with Watford.

The Gunners host Quique Sánchez Flores’ side on Sunday with hopes of booking a trip to Wembley and winning the cup for a historic third year in a row.

However, the fact that his side faces a trip to Barcelona only days after the FA Cup quarter-final has prompted concerns that Wenger could name a weaker line-up this weekend.

But according to the Arsenal manager, the likes of Francis Coquelin, Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez who were not in action on Tuesday may be back on Sunday.

“I will not consider the Barcelona game for [the selection against] Watford.” he said

“I don’t believe that anybody in my side thinks about Barcelona at the moment or Everton (next Saturday) – they are all completely focused on Watford.

Wenger has gifted opportunities to youngsters Alex Iwobi, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Calum Chambers in the FA Cup this season.

But with the Gunners on the verge of a clinching a place in the semi-final of the competition, the Frenchman could favour his senior players this time.

The Arsenal boss has also added that he was not completely happy with the scheduling of this weekend’s cup tie ahead of Champions League duty in midweek.

“I would have loved to have played on Saturday but we don’t influence the schedule and we do not get any favours so everybody will be happy in England.” Wenger said
