Wenger on ‘departure’ of Lukas Podolski this summer
Lukas Podolski is going nowhere according to Arsene Wenger.
Despite bagging an efficient 14 goals in his first season in Arsenal colours, Podolski has attracted speculation over being ditched by the club after the end of the campaign.
In recent weeks – notably ever since early Feberuary – the German international has failed to enjoy as much action as he did during the first half of the season when he was an ever-present.
Normally, you would point to fitness issues and Wenger’s squad rotation as being the only reasons for the trimming down of Podolski’s minutes on the pitch, but reports by tabloids claim it is indeed a fall-out between the 27-year-old and his boss which have limited his playing.
But Arsene Wenger is not having any of that.
“Look how he played when he came on. As soon as you have a player who doesn’t play for three games, the papers get a story like that. But he looks very happy to be here.” Wenger said
Despite Arsenal having a knack of selling key players in recent years, it would be odd to witness the sale of Lukas Podolski after only a single season, and Arsene Wenger praised the value of having the former Bundesliga star as an option from the bench in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Norwich which was sealed by a well-taken goal from the forward.
“The luxury we have is to have Podolski, Walcott and Chamberlain on the bench. We have offensive quality on the bench at home, so once you get the team under pressure it is very helpful.” the Arsenal boss said
“They had a good impact, yes. They came on with a good attitude and a good spirit. Once Norwich got a bit tired, they made a difference.”

Giroud and Gervino are french. Podolski is not.
I think this explain everything.
Gervinho is actually Ivorian….and Podolski actually has an ankle issue π
Unbelievable! We had English, Spanish, Polish, Belgum, Ivorian and you pick on Wegner team selection by nationality? You no better than those commentators who pick on every little mistake that Ramsey/Gervinho commit ignoring Ramsey’s unrelenting motor and Gervinho’s skill to put defenses under pressure and unlock…. Wilshere showed rust and Gibbs missed few crosses, Giroud was too slow on and off the ball.. So what…. Get behind your team mate and control your frustration to footballing reasons… If you will!
they bag Ramsey and Gervino because their hopeless Ramsey twists and turns stopping momentum all the time and Gervinho runs 30 40 yards into dead ends y is there space there cause nothing can come of it y do others not do it because nothing can come of it yet over and overt
Wenger, please don’t sell Podolski & please keep him on the starting line-up.

Arsen Wenger dont sell Podolski allow him to play 8. To help d striking force, so dat Oliver Gir can have strenght.
Podlasiki should not be sold, i think he is much better than Oliver G, if given time to play three games as central striker, we would see him at his best
Hey guys making ‘bias nationalistic accusations’ ….come on!# Arsenal is pretty internationally mix and cosmopolitan just see the players in the first XI, the Reserves and in the Academy!
it is very simple podolski is an arsenal player and is going nowhere.
