Arsene Wenger has responded to speculation linking him with the addition of another player before the transfer window closes in two weeks.

The Arsenal manager has made only one signing so far, bringing in Cohen Bramall who will not be part of the first team for the time being.

Various reports have continued to suggest that Wenger is still targeting the acquisition of at least one new player to strengthen his squad.

However, the Gunners boss insists the fact that there are players now returning from injury lay-offs means he is unlikely to do any more purchasing.

“I expect it to be a very quiet period because we have Welbeck coming back.” the Arsenal manager said at his press-conference on Thursday morning

“Offensively we are very strong, we have many players who can come in and overall I don’t expect to do anything special.”
