Arsene Wenger has addressed rumours linking him with a transfer move for a player he sold only a few months ago.
As usual, all sorts of speculation have suggested the Arsenal manager is interested in a host of attacking players and former Gunner Serge Gnabry appears to be one of them.
However, Wenger has played down claims that he will attempt to bring the 21-year-old back to Arsenal in the near future after selling him to Werder Bremen last summer.
“We are not on the verge of signing anything,” the Gunners boss said ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Southampton
The odds of Arsenal re-signing Gnabry are fairly high considering the fact that the club placed a cheap buy-back clause in the deal which saw him move to the Bundesliga.
“No. We have sold Serge Gnabry to Bremen.” Wenger added
“At the time it looked like Bayern Munich were behind it. I don’t really know. But at the moment no, we do not re-sign him.”
