Arsene Wenger has responded to Arsenal fans who are desperately calling for the departure of club owner Stan Kroenke.
The American businessman has been majority shareholder of the Gunners for several years now, much to the frustration of most fans.
Following the news of Alisher Usmanov’s bid to take over the club last week, the demand for Kroenke to relinquish his ownership has grown even higher.
And during Sunday’s 3-1 win over Everton, a large portion of the Emirates stadium was involved in a chant along the lines of ‘Stan Kroenke, get out of our club’.
However, Wenger insists that is not the sort of treatment the club’s owner deserves.
“I respect everybody in life and I respect Stan Kroenke a lot,” the Arsenal boss said
“I don’t think that he is at fault for not reaching the Champions League, the technical department was responsible for that.
“I don’t see what he has to do with that.”
