Arsene Wenger has acknowledged the fact that continued interest from Chinese clubs could weaken his team.
The Arsenal manager is under pressure to give up his role after this season, but should he manage to stay in charge of the team, one of his prioritises would be to retain the services of Alexis Sanchez.
After scoring 22 goals so far this season, the Chilean international has attracted the interest of several big clubs around Europe.
But the biggest offers have come from Chinese clubs who are reportedly willing to pay Sanchez more than double the amount he earns at the moment.
Thus, Wenger has called on the forward and other key players to turn down a move to Asia.
“I think every club and every player has to make decisions. Where are your priorities, where do you want to play? I think the first priority for top players is play to best football with the best players in the best league.” the Arsenal manager said
“You go to China because you earn big money, but you make big money in England as well. So the best combination of playing at the top and earning big money is in England at the moment. So China for me is not a debate.”
