Arsene Wenger has responded to reports suggesting that he has agreed to extend his contract at Arsenal.
The Frenchman has faced severe criticism in recent months due to the Gunners’ disappointing displays in the Premier League and Champions League.
Various reports have claimed that Wenger will remain at the Emirates stadium for one more year at least after agreeing a new deal with the club.
However, when asked about the news in an interview, the Arsenal boss remained cagey on the subject.
“The information is that I do not have any information to give,” Wenger said, as quoted by The Express
“Regardless of how long I stay, I will be devoted and completely concentrated as long as I stay at the club for.
“In terms of how long is left, that is not important. I will always bring myself to do the best for the club.
“At the moment, we are dealing with a difficult period in terms of results and it is important to concentrate on ourselves to do better again.
“When you take time to reflect and to put things into perspective you see that we have two games in hand to play and a cup semi-final to prepare for.
“Our season will be decided by the way in which we respond to this difficult period.”
