Arsene Wenger has revealed why he is upbeat about his squad’s chances ahead of the clash with Swansea City this weekend.

The Gunners are preparing to host Bob Bradley’s side at the Emirates stadium on Saturday after winning five straight games in the Premier League.

Injuries have often been an issue in recent seasons and Arsenal are expected to deal with the same problem again this term as Danny Welbeck, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud remain out of action.

Hector Bellerin and Mesut Ozil both suffered an injury scare at some point during the international break as they represented Spain and Germany respectively.

However, according to Wenger, there are no new injury concerns for his squad going into this weekend’s affair.

“Giroud will not be available for Saturday and Aaron Ramsey will not be available, but Francis Coquelin is back available and apparently we have good news.” Wenger said

“I have not seen everybody coming back from international games but we have quite good news.”
