Arsene Wenger has revealed that there was an injury concern for one of his players during Wednesday’s Champions League affair.

Arsenal took their run of unbeaten games since the defeat to Liverpool in August to 11 games after a comfortable 6-0 victory over the Bulgarian outfit.

The comprehensive performance was filled with several positive news as the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott all got on the score sheet to maintain their momentum while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain grabbed a morale-boosting goal.

However, there was one relatively bad news for the Gunners as key midfielder Santi Cazorla was forced off with an injury problem only moments after setting up Arsenal’s fourth goal.

According to Wenger, the Spaniard suffered a recurrence of his achilles tendon problem from last season.

“He got a kick and I took him off as quickly as possible. He got a kick on the back of his achilles tendon.” Wenger said in his post-match interview

“In my view he was limping a little bit so I didn’t want to take a gamble.”
