Arsene Wenger has reveaeled there is at least one player making his way back to full fitness ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with AFC Bournemouth.

The Gunners are preparing to welcome Eddie Howe’s side to the Emirates stadium after extending their unbeaten run to 18 games in all competitions through a 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

As usual, injuries to important players have been a concerning issue for Wenger so far this season as he looks to end the club’s 12-year title drought this term.

One of the players sidelined for the midweek Champions League fixture was Lucas Perez who has been nursing an ankle injury he suffered against Reading in the League Cup.

However, the Arsenal manager has revealed the Spaniard managed to participate in Friday morning’s training session and he could feature against Southampton next Wednesday.

“Lucas is for the first time in training today [Friday].” Wenger said at his pre-match press-conference

“He might be in contention for Wednesday [against Southampton], but one training session is not enough to be involved on Sunday.”
