Wenger – Arsenal star has become a ‘complete player’
Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Alexis Sanchez for his exploits not just in goalscoring but in assisting his teammates as well.
The Chilean international moved to the Emirates stadium from Barcelona almost three years ago in a 35 million transfer deal.
And despite the uncertainty regarding his future at the club, Sanchez has managed to produce his best ever season in an Arsenal shirt this campaign.
Indeed, apart from scoring 21 goals in the Premier League this season, the 28-year-old has also provided 10 assists as well.
Sanchez is the only player to reach double figures for goals and assists this season and that has prompted praise from Wenger.
“At the start, he was a player mainly focused on scoring goals,” the Arsenal manager said
“He developed his assist potential with us very well and now he plays in a position where he can provide as well as score.
“He’s become a complete player and has developed very well here at Arsenal Football Club. Of course, it’s an exceptional achievement and I would like to say that, to score and provide in double figures, you need to be a special player.”
