Arsenal will have at least two key players back in the squad when they welcome Watford to the Emirates stadium in this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final.
The Gunners lost Per Mertesacker, Gabriel and Aaron Ramsey to injuries on Tuesday as they thrashed Hull City 4-0 at the KC stadium.
However, Wenger has confirmed that his two centre-backs have made a swift recovery and are likely to be named in the 18-man squad for Sunday.
“Mertesacker and Gabriel are very positive. There is nothing wrong there, they are both good.” the Arsenal boss said
With Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal available to be called upon, Arsenal’s first choice back-four could feature in the quarter-final clash with the Hornets.
Laurent Koscielny remains the only concern at the moment.
“He is not far, he will have tests until Sunday, but it could come too soon. He has a little chance.” Wenger said
Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Danny Welbeck are all expected to be back in a strong Arsenal team this weekend as Wenger’s men target a trip to Wembley for the third year in a row.
