Wenger: We have canceled the deal
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Serge Gnabry’s season-long loan at West Brom Albion has officially been canceled following an agreement between both parties.
The German youngster joined the baggies last summer in search of more Premier League experience following his return from a long injury lay-off.
However, Gnabry has rarely featured for West Brom this season with Tony Pulis criticizing him for lacking the level of fitness required to play regularly.
Arsenal initially opted against recalling the winger from a loan deal which was meant to last until June 2016, but Wenger has now admitted the Gunners had no choice but to bring back Gnabry.
“Yes [we have canceled his loan deal]. I am tempted to give him some competition because he has not played at West Brom.” the Arsenal manager said
The return of Alexis Sanchez and Tomas Rosicky means that Arsenal are no longer desperate for options in attack as they were a few weeks ago.
Thus, Wenger insists another loan move for Gnary before the transfer window closes could be on the cards.
“I am tempted to let him go somewhere to do with him what I did with Coquelin, somewhere for a month or two.” he added
Does Wenger really knows what he is doing. Gnarby is a very talented strong promising player and Wenger is frustrating him by sending him left and right and that will tarnish the player’s confidence. Let him stay at Arsenal to get to his full fitness and can prove that he is not less than any of the first team players
Totally Agree but it may be that with the current squad he will not get a llok in so next season will be his big chance.
