The Super Bowl may be on Sunday for Americans but Saturday is the big one in the Premier League.
Chelsea and Manchester City are set to clash in a showdown between the league’s top two sides. And after that stunning 2-0 triumph at the Etihad stadium, Arsenal are now reluctant to exclude themselves from the title conversation.
The Gunners remain 13 points adrift of leaders Chelsea but the gap between them and Manuel Pellegrini’s side has been reduced to eight points.
With 16 games left, rival sides will have to drop points rapidly if the Gunners are to cling on to any hopes of doing more than securing a Champions League place.
And when asked about which way he preferred Saturday’s result to go, Arsene Wenger was eager to reveal his wish.
“When two big teams play against each other, you want always a draw. And most of the time you get it”. Wenger said
“It could be a draw. I think a draw would be an acceptable result for Manchester City because it would keep them in the race for the championship”
