According to Arsene Wenger, the media has had a lot to do with the continued uncertainty over Cesc Fabregas’ future.
It appears as though every time rumours about Cesc has seemed to cool down, there has been a new story from the newspapers reporting otherwise.
And when questioned about how Barca are supposedly not giving up on Arsenal’s captain, Wenger suggested that the media has been manipulating whatever comes out of the Catalan camp.
“Barcelona has given up for a long time. Who is Barca? You say to me ‘Barca has not given up’, what does that mean? Who is the person who says they do not give up?” Wenger said.
“The newspapers? The newspapers do not make those decisions. I told you yesterday what will happen – Fabregas will stay here.”
