Arsene Wenger has revealed what was concerning him during the break as Arsenal trailed against Swansea City at the Emirates stadium.
The Gunners went into Saturday’s clash with enough reason to expect victory after winning three games in a row in all competitions prior to the affair.
However, Arsenal were given a major scare as Sam Clucas handed the away side a surprise lead with their first shot on target after 22 minutes of action in the first half.
Wenger’s men were behind after domination possession and at halftime, the Arsenal boss has admitted that Swansea’s defensive record on the road this season worried him.
“At half-time, I could be worried because we were 1-0 down and I knew that Swansea had conceded only one away goal the whole season.” the Gunners boss said
“For us it was important to play quicker, sharper, with more penetration, changing sides quicker and putting them more under pressure, which we did in the second half.
“In the first half, we looked dominating but a bit laboured, too slow in our game.”
