Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given a new statement on the subject of whether there will be another new signing at Arsenal this month.
The Gunners have only managed to land the addition of one player so far with Kostantonos Maprovanos moving to the Emirates stadium last week.
Following the arrival of the young centre-back, there have been various rumours which have suggested that the Gunners are targeting another new acquisition.
And with Alexis Sanchez seemingly on his way out of the club, the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Thomas Lemar and Macolm have dominated the headlines.
However, when asked about the possiblity of another player following Maprovanos, Wenger remained coy even though he did admit that the club is still ‘active’ in the transfer market.
“I don’t really doubt that. Not at the back, not in midfield and not up front – we are open, we are on the market, we are active.” the Arsenal boss said
“I don’t want to give you news that I can’t confirm after, though.
“In this transfer market, at the moment, it’s very difficult to come out with things as long as they are not signed because things can change very quickly.”
