What Kieran Tierney has posted after Standard Liege game
New Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney took to social media to share a message with the Gunners faithful after featuring in the win over Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday night.
After several years at the club, Unai Emery said goodbye to long-serving defender Nacho Monreal towards the end of the summer transfer window.
The exit of the Spanish veteran meant someone had to step in at left-back and that explained why the club fought so hard to secure the signing of Kieran Tierney from Celtic.
The young defender has had to wait quite a while for his debut in Arsenal colours after being plagued by injuries in his first few weeks at the club.
Tierney was finally deemed fit to face Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday night and the promising full-back produced an impressive show as the Gunners secured a comfortable win at the Emirates stadium.
Here was his message to the fans via social media after the final whistle…
Great night! Thanks again for all your support 👊🏻🔴⚪ pic.twitter.com/fdnT1fy7eG
