What Mesut Ozil posted after being left out of BATE Borisov game
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil maintained a professional and positive attitude despite being left out of the team which travelled to BATE Borisov in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The former Germany international has been the subject of much controversy this season after being frequently left out of the Arsenal squad so far this season.
Unai Emery has maintained that Ozil is still a key part of the squad but the new Arsenal manager has not shown that in his actions after refusing to include the midfielder in his squad on several occasions this campaign.
Despite being able to train with the rest of the first team squad on Wednesday, Ozil was somehow left out the squad which visited BATE Borisov in the Europa League.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Emirates stadium but he has maintained a positive attitude and after the final whistle on Thursday, he had another message for the fans.
Not the result we wanted, but we still can do it in the 2nd leg and reach the next round! Let's bounce back at the Emirates especially for our fans ⚽👊🏼 #COYG 🔴⚪ #M1Ö #BATARS #UEL @Arsenal
