What Piers Morgan has said about Nicolas Pepe after being substituted on Sunday
Piers Morgan took to social media to give his verdict on Nicolas Pepe after watching the forward feature for Arsenal once again in the win over Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners were in action at the Emirates stadium on Sunday as they looked to take full advantage of Tottenham’s loss to Brighton by winning at home to remain ahead in the race for a top four finish.
Unai Emery made a couple of changes to the team which started against Manchester United a week ago but the Arsenal boss kept Nicolas Pepe in the starting eleven once again.
The Ivory Coast international has had a slow start to life in England, after moving to north London for an expensive fee which saw him become the most costly signing in the club’s long history.
Pepe was substituted by the manager midway through the second half on Sunday, and even though he had failed to score from open play yet again, Piers Morgan remained upbeat about the Gunners’ new winger.
Pepe looking much sharper today… #afcbou

He will score. Pepe reminds me of Thierry when he first joined us.. took him a while to settle in but so much explosive pace & talent. https://t.co/4eEWTiDYwh
