New Arsenal manager Unai Emery was active on social media on Thursday as silly reports claimed that certain fans wanted him out of the club.
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss was announced as the man to replace Arsene Wenger last week, despite rumours that Mikel Arteta had been the favourite for the job.
Arsenal have already started making a few moves under the management of Emery with a couple of defenders expected to complete moves to the Emirates stadium.
However, things got silly on Thursday after the news of Zinedine Zidane leaving his post as Real Madrid boss.
Various reports suggested that some Arsenal fans were now calling for the club to make a U-turn in the decision to appoint Unai Emery.
Those fans apparently wanted Zidane to rather be the man replacing Wenger, prompting more rumours about how Emery’s contract is not a long-term one.
Nonetheless, the Spanish tactician took to Twitter to show more appreciation over being chosen by the Gunners after being given a present by chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
