Will you blame Van Persie if he is a free agent next May?
This is where an interesting question/topic is posed for your responses. The comment with the most number of thumbs up will obviously be the best response made in the debate.
Today’s topic is:
Will Van Persie get abuse like Samir Nasri if he refuses to renew his contract and leave next year?
As much as fans adore Arsenal’s current top scorer, Robin van Persie could end up a villain next year if the Dutchman does not make a decision in favour of the Gunners.
The in-form striker will see his current contract expire at the end of next season and Van Persie is yet to decide on re-committing to the club.
With the Gunners under-performing these days, speculation have mounted that the Premier League’s leading scorer could fancy a move elsewhere with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona already tipped.
The Dutchman’s scintillating form this season means he will have a wholesale of choices if he waits until next summer to choose his new club as a free-agent – a situation which would echo that of basketball ace Lebron James who turned from a hero at the Cleveland Cavaliers to a villain after joining Miami Heat in 2010.
