The Gunners will be in search of their first win in three Premier League games when they welcome Wolves to the Emirates stadium on Sunday evening.

Between the sticks, Bernd Leno has been in improved form lately and therefore he should easily earn a start. Since this is a home game where Arsenal have to attack the opposition more, a 3-4-3 set-up would be preferred to the system from last weekend’s 0-0 draw at Leeds.

The wing-backs should be Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin while the back-three consists of Gabriel, Luiz and Holding. In midfield, Dani Ceballos, who is more of a forward-thinking midfielder than Mohamed Elneny is, should start alongside Granit Xhaka.

Whatever the attacking trio is, it has to witness Pierre Emerrick-Aubameyang start in the centre-forward position and therefore, Alexandre Lacazette will have to remain on the bench as he often slows down the attack and has less to offer in terms of urgency or pace. With Nicolas Pepe now suspended, Saka should start if he is deemed fit while the terribly underperforming Willian has to be finally dropped for Reiss Nelson, a player with a point to prove.

PREDICTED TEAM

Leno

Holding – Luiz – Gabriel

Bellerin – Xhaka – Ceballos – Tierney

Nelson – Aubameyang – Nelson
