Jack Wilshere also took to social media to send out an emotional message in reaction to Arsenal’s latest move in the January transfer window.
The Gunners are gearing up for this weekend’s vital clash with Bournemouth in the Premier League after securing a 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Following the match, Arsene Wenger made it clear that he had approved a move which would see Francis Coquelin leave the club after almost a decade.
And on Thursday, Valencia also confirmed that the 26-year-old has been signed in a deal believed to be worth around £12 million.
Coquelin was one of the longest-serving players in the current Arsenal squad along with the likes of Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere.
And after hearing of the French midfielder’s move to Spain, Wilshere took to Twitter to say an emotional farewell to Coquelin.
