One of the Gunners’ key stars has revealed how the Arsenal squad ‘definitely’ feels about Unai Emery after the recent run of poor results in the Premier League.

Emery was picked as the man to take over from Arsene Wenger in May last year, as the club looked to change managers for the first time in decades.

The Gunners initially appeared to be making progress under the new manager at start of last season but the collapse at the end of the campaign which saw the team fail to finish in the top four of the league or win the Europa League final became a real worry.

Four months into this season, Emery’s future at Arsenal appears to be hanging in the balance with his side well off the pace in the race for the top four spots.

However, in the midst of gossip and whispers about how the Arsenal squad is against the manager, Alexandre Lacazette has revealed things are not that way.

According to the Frenchman – who earns £140,000-a-week wages (Mirror) – the Arsenal squad is ‘definitely’ supporting Emery despite the current troubles.

“We’re working together every day on a constant basis to pick up the slack. The group definitely supports the coach and I’m sure the club does as well.” the striker told the club’s official website

“We’re a very tight group and we’re doing everything we can to improve.”
