Arsene Wenger will have more decisions to make this summer, if he is to remain in charge of the Gunners despite recent protests.

The Arsenal manager chose to offload several first team players on loan deals ahead of this season as the likes of Wojciech Szczesny, Jack Wilshere and Joel Campbell secured temporary moves elsewhere.

For Campbell in particular, there have been strong rumours suggesting that he is unlikely to represent the Gunners again with Wenger reportedly pursuing other targets in the attacking area.

However, the 24-year-old, who has been in encouraging form for Sporting Lisbon over the past six months, insists he will not be going anywhere just yet.

Campbell was involved in pre-season action for Arsenal ahead of this campaign

According to Campbell, there is no option in his loan deal which would see him remain in Portugal and therefore, he will move back to the London this summer.

“There’s no buying option,” the Costa Rica international said, as quoted by Sporting Witness (via A Bola).

“I have to fulfill my loan at Sporting in the best way and, then, return to Arsenal.”

Even though Wenger does not appear to have Campbell in his plans, the forward received rave reviews from fans for his performances during the 2015/16 season, prompting suggestions that he would have been a better option to have in the squad than the likes of Yaya Sanogo and other scarcely used players.
