Arsene Wenger will be hoping his side bounces back from last weekend’s defeat to Manchester United by clinching the three points against Southampton.

The Gunners succumbed to their first defeat at home in the Premier League this season as United left the Emirates stadium with a largely undeserved 3-1 victory.

Wenger did watch his side bounce back in the Europa League on Thursday night by thrashing BATE Borisov 6-0 to wrap up the group stage campaign.

However, Southampton are likely to pose a tougher threat than the Belarusian side and therefore, the Gunners boss is expected to recall most of his first choice players on Sunday.

Even so, there are a couple of players from Thursday’s team who may have made a strong case for a start this weekend.

Jack Wilshere should perhaps take Aaron Ramsey’s place in the side while Rob Holding replaces Shkodran Mustafi at centre-back.
