Arsene Wenger appears to be nearing a deal which will see him sell one of the longest-serving players in the current squad.
The Arsenal manager only sold one player last year as Serge Gnabry joined Werder Bremen very late in the transfer window.
However, this summer is likely to be much different with the Gunners’ squad now overfilled with players, especially after the additions of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
One of the players seemingly on the way out of the club is Wojciech Szczesny who has spent the last two seasons on loan at AS Roma.
And according to the Sun, the 27-year-old has edged closer to a departure after being omitted from the Arsenal squad which is set to begin pre-season in Australia.
Szczesny, who is currently pocketing £75,000-per-week in wages, has attracted the interest of Juventus following an impressive 2016/17 campaign in the Serie A which saw him keep more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper.
Unlike the likes of Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez, Szczesny was not left out of the squad for pre-season due to fitness reasons.
