BBC pundit Gary Lineker has lauded the difference made by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta during the clash with Leeds United in the FA Cup on Monday night.

The Gunners were knocked out of the fourth round of the FA Cup by Manchester United last season and this term, they will be hoping to go much further than that in the world’s oldest cup competition.

Arsenal welcomed Leeds United to the Emirates stadium on Monday as they looked to follow up last Wednesday’s big win in the Premier League with another home victory.

After a very dull first half which saw the visitors register a lot of shots on goal, the Emirates stadium crowd would have been forgiven for feeling a little anxious at the half-time break.

However, a goal in the second half from young forward Reiss Nelson saw the Gunners secure a 1-0 win over Leeds.

After the final whistle, BBC pundit Gary Lineker applauded Mikel Arteta for fixing what was wrong at half-time.

The Arsenal boss’ team talk during the break paid off as his side came out with a more passionate display for the remainder of the game.
