‘Absolute stinker, Needs to go out’ – Fans attack Arsenal star after FA Cup defeat

Arsenal fans and supporters of rival club’s agreed on one thing on Sunday and that was the performance of Rob Holding.

Arsenal faced a trip to Nottingham Forest whom they thrashed in the League Cup last season and many expected a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup to be secured.

However, a woeful performance saw the Gunners trail 2-1 at halftime and they never managed to recover as they conceded two penalties in the second half to lose 4-2.

The clash with the lower league outfit saw Rob Holding receive another start at the back with several defenders currently sidelined by injuries.

Not too long ago, the young defender, who was signed from Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2016, was touted as a replacement for the ageing Laurent Koscielny.

But after Sunday’s display, most fans are not so sure about that.

Holding has been part of an Arsenal defence which has conceded six goals in his last two appearances for the first team and that has seen him receive some criticism.
