‘Absolutely sublime, Criminally underrated’ – Some fans were praising Arsenal star after Huddersfield game
Several Arsenal fans took to social media to heap praise on the Gunners’ main striker on Saturday after the win over Leicester City in the Premier League.
The Gunners have not been in any sort of consistent form in recent weeks and they went into the trip to Huddersfield Town on the back of a poor show against Manchester City which saw them lose 3-1 as Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick – a feat which the Argentine star repeated a week later against Chelsea.
Unai Emery was not able to call upon Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang on Saturday due to a reported illness for the Gabon international.
Thus, the former Borussia Dortmund star’s absence saw Alexandre Lacazette start upfront on his own alongside Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Lacazette was in brilliant form during the month of January and he continued that on Saturday as he scored what turned out to be the match’s winning goal.
As a result, most of the supporters heaped praise on the Frenchman on social media…
Alexandre Lacazette since returning from injury in April:
•2,704 minutes.
•20 goals.
•11 assists.
•87 minutes per goal/assist.
•Goals against Atlético Madrid, Tottenham, Liverpool & Chelsea.
•Two assists vs Manchester United.
•9 game winning goals.Absolutely sublime.

Pity the fools that don't rate Lacazette. Probably the best ST in the league after Kane and Aguero. Criminally underrated.

Lacazette – In my opinion, Arsenal's most effective footballer of the season. Great touches of the ball, held up play well and scored the decisive goal. 7.5/10
