Fans react to Jack Wilshere’s performance vs Crystal Palace on Twitter
Several Arsenal fans took to Twitter to heap praise on one of the players who featured in midfield as the Gunners defeated Crystal Palace on Thursday night.
Arsene Wenger’s men were aware that securing all of three points was imperative on Thursday after watching rivals Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all secure convincing victories at home.
The Gunners did not necessarily have it easy at Selhurst Park but the quality of Alexis Sanchez made the difference in the end as his two goals in the second half helped seal a 3-2 win.
Even so, the man who stole the show from the point of view of many fans was Jack Wilshere, a player gradually making his way into the starting eleven after several years of injury troubles.
The 25-year-old looked to be back at his best as he featured for the full 90 minutes, registering a beautiful assist for Arsenal’s third goal which was scored by Alexis Sanchez.

Jack Wilshere has matured. He is ready. He wants to lead this club. Pay him. Give him the armband. Start designing the statue. #Arsenal

Just a quick reminder that Jack Wilshere isn’t deemed good enough for the England squad. Jake Livermore and Jack Cork are chosen above him.
