Following his performances at the beginning of this month, Petr Cech’s future at Arsenal has been questioned by fans for the first time since his move to the club over a year ago.

Reports ahead of Saturday’s clash with Hull City even suggested that Arsene Wenger was considering the possibility of dropping the 34-year-old.

And with rumours continuing to claim that Cech could be offloaded by Arsenal by the end of this season, the player’s agent has moved to set the record straight about his client’s future.

According to the former Chelsea goalkeeper’s representative Viktor Kolar, Cech will not be saying goodbye to the Gunners so soon.

“Petr’s position at the club is very secure and a summer transfer can be ruled out.” Kolar was quoted as saying

“Petr will be part of Arsenal until at least the end of his current contract and I am convinced that he will continue to have a leadership role in the team.”
