Alexis Sanchez has responded to reports claiming that he is on the verge of saying goodbye to Arsenal this summer.

The Chilean superstar was in inspired form during the 2016/17 campaign, scoring 30 goals in all competitions, including the opener in the 2-1 FA CUp final victory over Chelsea.

However, Sanchez’s apparent reluctance to extend his contract which expires within a year, has prompted speculation that he has played his last game in an Arsenal shirt.

Reports from this week have even suggested that the forward has given the green light to a transfer to Premier League rivals Manchester City.

But according to Sanchez, his agent will be soon be meeting with the Gunners to discuss his situation.

“The truth is that my agent will see to it. He knows and he will sit down with the club to see what is best,” Sanchez told Cooperativa.

“I would like many things, but right now I am only thinking about the national team.”
