Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has opened up about his remarkably industrious attitude on and off the pitch.

The Chile international has been in sensational form for much of this season, scoring 22 goals in all competitions so far.

Even though Sanchez has dominated the headlines in recent weeks for showing too much emotion during the team’s run of poor results, he is also known for producing his best efforts week in, week out.

There have been rumours suggesting that the 28-year-old is often the last man to leave the training ground and according to Sanchez, that relentlessly hardworking approach has always been a part of his game.

“I have always been like this,” Alexis said. “My career won´t last forever and I am aiming to be one of the best players in the world. I want to do my best and be professional until my career ends.

“I enjoy football a lot, I always wanted to be one of the best players in the world and I’ve been saying that since I was a little boy. I will slow down after I retire, but for the time being I will carry on like this.

“I just try to train well, sleep well and be professional at my job. There’s not much of a secret to it.”
