‘Always amazes me’, ‘Top talent’: Some fans hail Arsenal ace after 2-0 win
Following the win over Portsmouth in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Monday evening, several Arsenal fans praised the man who was leading the attack at Fratton Park.
Even though there might be a glimmer of hope over securing a place in the top four of the Premier League this season, there was no doubt about the fact that the defeat to Olympiacos in the Europa League had taken a lot of significance out of the Gunners’ 2019/20 campaign.
With the FA Cup being the only trophy left to fight for, Mikel Arteta decided to mix youth with experience against Portsmouth.
Eddie Nketiah was handed another start and the striker, who was on loan at Leeds United earlier this season, scored Arsenal’s second goal of the night.
The young forward has been very impressive in front of goal ever since his loan recall and after the clash with Pompey, several fans heaped praises on him.

Nketiah is so natural with the way he scores. Top talent!

I remember the doubts over Nketiah when he first broke into the first team with his height and physicality. His development has been superb in that regard. I always feel safe when the ball goes into him. Some of this trickery in tight areas has been great as well.

He may not be the most technically gifted striker you’ve ever seen, but Nketiah is almost guaranteed a goal in every match he’s playing for us right now, because his movement and ability to get into the right position is just so good.

Think Lacazette is done at Arsenal.
Long way back now.Nketiah starts for us in FA cup & PL. If not Martinelli does.
Probably would've won in Europa League if Nketiah started.
