The Arsenal faithful were certainly keen to give their thoughts on young Rob Holding after his rare start on Tuesday night.

Holding, who left Bolton to join the Gunners during the summer transfer window, has rarely featured this season due to Laurent Ksocielny’s solid partnership with Shkodran Mustafi.

However, Arsene Wenger did not mind handing the 21-year-old his first ever Champions League start in what was expected to be a tricky trip to Basel.

A convincing team performance saw Arsenal stroll their way to victory and secure a first place finish in their group ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

And despite failing to keep a clean-sheet as he conceded a late goal from Seydou Doumbia, a majority of the fans had rave reviews for Holding on Tuesday.
