Arsene Wenger appears to have been handed a major boost, only days before the January transfer window opens.

Arsenal are gearing up for an important second half of the campaign which will see them attempt to secure a place in the top four of the Premier League.

Recent displays have exposed the Gunners’ weaknesses in both attack and defense and the onus is on Wenger to make a move to address those concerns in January.

Julian Draxler is known to be a man on Arsenal’s radar and according to the Sun, Paris Saint-Germain have made it clear how much it would cost to sign him.

The French side have reportedly informed the Gunners that Draxler’s transfer would be approved as long as a £40 million fee is paid.

For several years, Wenger has been rumoured to be keeping tabs on the Germany international and he has now received the greenlight to land his long-time target.

Paris Saint-Germain have been contacted about Draxler’s availability by Arsenal who are intent on finding a replacement for want-away star Alexis Sanchez.
