Following the moves made in January, Arsenal have now formally added three new names to the squad of players for the upcoming games in the two-legged knockout tie against Olympiacos later this month.

The Gunners were once again linked with various transfer moves during the January window but ultimately, the club decided to send out Konstantinos Mavropanos on loan to Nurnberg before bringing in two defenders in Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares.

Another major decision which came in-between those moves was Arsenal’s choice to recall Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United.

With the Gunners currently struggling to even find a spot in the top six of the Premier League, winning the Europa League may be the team’s best possible route to the Champions League next season.

As a result, Arsenal have included the maximum number of players allowed to be added to a squad under UEFA competition rules with all of January’s incomers now registered to feature in Europe.

According to journalist Simon Collins, the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares have officially been added to the Gunners’ squad this week for the Europa League knockout round.

That of course means the trio will be permitted by UEFA to take part in the upcoming tie against Olympiacos this month, despite their mid-season moves.
