Unai Emery’s side have made another transfer move this week as the squad begins to take shape ahead of the new campaign.
The new Arsenal manager has already shown a few signs of his ruthlessness, having ditched a couple of players who were not dealt with under Arsene Wenger.
And the latest man to be allowed to leave the club is Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who was brought to north London during the summer of 2015.
The French midfielder was handed a few appearances in cup competitions during his time as a Gunner, but a regular place in the first team remained a step too far for him.
Reine-Adelaide was left out of the Arsenal squad which traveled to Asia over the weekend for the Singapore tour, signaling the club’s intent to offload him.
And on Thursday, the Gunners confirmed that the youngster was set to join Angers.
“Jeff Reine-Adelaide has joined Ligue 1 side Angers in a permanent deal, following a loan spell with the club earlier this year.” a statement from the club said
