The Gunners have begun their search for a new midfielder and another player from Ligue 1 appears to be on the club’s radar.

Arsene Wenger secured the addition of Granit Xhaka last summer to bolster his midfield after bringing in Mohamed Elneny during the 2016 winter transfer window.

However, this season has not gone to plan for Wenger’s side who are sitting outside the top four of the Premier League despite an encouraging start to the campaign.

Thus, the Arsenal boss is now looking to complete the acquisition of Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Corentin Tolisso according to Football.London via L’Equipe.

The report claims that Arsenal would have to offer a fee in the region of $37.4 million (£30 million) for the 22-year-old who has also attracted the interest of Juventus.

The midfielder played against Arsenal in the 2015 Emirates Cup clash with Lyon

Tolisso admitted in a candid interview not too long ago that Arsenal was one of the clubs he dreams of playing for.

“Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal,” Tolisso told France Football.

“I love the Premier League and I think I have the profile. This is the championship that also offers more competition, which is the most open, the most contested and most spectacular.”
