Arsenal make contact with club to sign 22-year-old attacker
Arsenal appear to have made their first attempt to secure the addition of a new attacker in the January transfer window.
The Gunners were fairly busy in the transfer market during the summer of 2018 as several players were signed before pre-season even kicked off.
However, following the clear-out of attacking players like Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud earlier this year, Arsenal are still short of options in that area of the squad.
Thus, the Sun are reporting that the Gunners have made contact with Boca Juniors over the possible signing of Cristian Pavon.
The 22-year-old has been on Arsenal’s radar for quite a while and he was even linked with a move to the Emirates stadium during the reign of Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal have reportedly been told that the price of the winger will be £40million, which would be close to the amount the club paid for Mesut Ozil in the summer of 2013.
