Arsene Wenger is targeting the acquisition of another attacking midfielder if new reports are anything to go by.
The Arsenal manager appears to be preparing for at least one more season at the Emirates stadium despite protests calling for him to step down.
Thus, Wenger has made strengthening his midfield options a top priority, especially with the future of Mesut Ozil still unresolved.
According to Goal.com, the Gunners are now looking to secure the signing of Ivan Perisic this summer.
However, Arsenal will be competing with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United for the 28-year-old’s services.
Perisic, who was in inspiring form for Croatia at Euro 2016, is reportedly seeking a move to England after spending recent years in the Serie A.
And Inter Milan are believed to be asking for a transfer fee which could rise all the way up to $42.9 million (€40 million) for the midfielder.
