Arsenal appear to be in pole position to secure the signing of a new attacker in the summer transfer window to bolster Mikel Arteta’s options going forward.

The Gunners broke a club record by spending heavily on the services of Nicolas Pepe last summer, but the Ivory Coast international’s relatively underwhelming start to life in England has prompted the need for another attacker.

Thus, according to an exclusive report from TeamTalk, Arsenal are now confident of a deal to sign Ryan Fraser when the attacker becomes a free agent this summer.

The 26-year-old is yet to renew his contract with Bournemouth and that has seen him attract the interest of several clubs after his impressive record of 14 assists in the Premier League last season.

The report suggests that the Gunners are indeed the club who are leading the chase for Fraser’s signature, and Arteta’s side are keen on a move to lure him to London when his contract with the Cherries expires in July this year.
